So, you may have noticed that I no longer have the boring blog presentation that typified my first few blog entries. Now, I have a zebra. A zebra-horse. A half-horse, half-zebra if you will. According to Dr. Wikipedia, this funny looking specimen can go by the name Zorse, Zebrula, Zebroid or my personal favorite, Hebra.
If those hilarious names aren’t reason enough to make a Hebra my blog picture, I have a second, equally powerful reason. You see, the second day of this blog’s existence, I thought I had to elaborate a bit on what exactly the purpose of this blog is. For example, is it about my political musings? Or maybe, my attempt to comment on the technology sector? But upon realizing that I am not an expert in anything, I wrote the first thing that came to my mind: “A blog about zebras, for example.” I haven’t written a blog completely about zebras yet. But you know what? Maybe one day I will. And when that day comes, I will be glad I chose that name for my blog, because then when a random individual decides to read my blog, and comes across an entry about zebras, that person will have been forewarned.
So, yeah, “A blog about zebras, for example” was the first thing that popped into my mind. And I think it explains the fact that this blog can essentially be about anything, which will either keep you coming back for more, or causing you to flee in disgust.
Now, as to why I chose a Hebra as my picture if my blog is about “zebras, for example”…once again, I have no logical explanation, other than the comical value of the word Hebra (or any of the other names listed above.) I mean, look at it! It’s so stupid looking! Who knows how the kids in elementary school must have treated that poor Hebra. Unless they were all Hebras, in which case, that would have been a very stupid-looking elementary school.
Moving on. I got my blood taken the other day (yearly checkup). I got queasy. Threw up. A good time was had by all.
Moving on. The Giants…are…AWESOME. Not only is Ahmad Bradshaw the most amazing person in the world. Not only has Brandon Jacobs gone insane by chucking the football as hard as he can at the wall, or at any unfortunate bystanders or birds that happen to get in the way, after he scores a touchdown. Not only did the Giants beat the Cowboys and supplement Tony Romo’s 2006-2007 botched field goal hold by proving that you can’t win when you go to Cabo with Jessica Simpson. But Eli Manning was not awful again. My friend Adam and I have a theory for this: Jeremy Shockey is hurt. In other words, when Shockey is playing, Eli gets completely freaked out. For example, if Eli throws a pass at Shockey’s knees, Shockey will probably glare at him, make the throat-slitting sign, and say: “I’ll see you in the parking lot later, little girl!” So, even though we all love Shockey, it’s probably for the best that he’s not playing, because Eli is a much happier Elisha Manning now. PLUS, I guarantee Jessica Simpson is going to dump Romo now for Michael Strahan. Strahan knows how to treat a lady.
And as much as I love Brett Favre, we’re still gonna have to beat you next week. But you still get to show off your Wrangler jeans as much as you want! By the way, who plays football in jeans? Let alone one’s as tight as Wrangler? I mean, really?
WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU AND ADAM ARE SHARING A THEORY! NO SPLITS! DAVID WHY AREN’T YOU WATCHING THE GAME NEXT WEEK!
HEY ZEBRA, WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU ARE ACTUALLY A ZEBRA-HORSE! NO SPLITS!
My favorite part of the Jacobs spike was that in the pregame interview one of the sideline reporters commented on how “Brandon Jacobs was so confident about the game he was practicing his celebration spike all week.”
Then when he scored and threw the ball at the playclock it led me to think about Jacobs standing in front of the playclock at practice this week, with a bag of footballs, firing them one after another and how Tom Couglin must have a daily debate on whether to have Jacobs institutionalized. Without question they have to keep him in a cage before the game to prevent him from killing someone.
I love your blog. Keep ‘em coming. Although, one small comment if I may… elaborating on the blood test expedition would have been worth reading…
Hi! I was surfing and found your blog post… nice! I love your blog.
Cheers! Sandra. R.
